GENERAL INFORMATION

Q: What are the dates and location of the conference?

A: The Regional Youth Conference will take place from June 27 to 29, 2025 at BCIT Burnaby Campus.

Q: What’s the conference schedule?

A: The conference will be held on June 27-29, 2025, starting on Friday from 6pm-9pm. Registration opens Friday, June 27 at 5pm. Please plan to arrive early enough to check in and receive your conference materials. Saturday and Sunday the conference will start at 8am with a light breakfast and end at 9pm. Although not a requirement, it is highly encouraged to participate for the full duration on all three days.

REGISTRATION & ATTENDANCE

Q: Who can attend the conference?

A: The conference is open to all youth aged 15-25, from British Columbia and the Yukon, who are interested in contributing to the betterment of society through spiritual empowerment and service.

The conference is exclusively for youth. Adults, including family members, will not be permitted to attend or sit in on sessions.

Q: Is there a registration fee?

A: Yes, the conference fee is $100. However, there is financial support available as we would like for every youth to attend the conference.

Q: Do I need to stay for the entire conference?

A: Full participation is encouraged, as the sessions build upon each other and contribute to a cohesive learning experience and to an environment of fellowship.

Q: Can I invite my friends who are not Bahá’í?

A: Absolutely! The conference welcomes all youth who wish to engage in meaningful conversations and service-oriented activities.

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORTATION

Q: Will accommodations be provided?

A: Yes, accommodations will be available for those travelling from afar. We will have limited accommodations at BCIT and the Vancouver Baha’i Center for Learning. We also encourage local participants to host their friends who need accommodations.

Q: I’m not a youth, but I have room in my house to host. Can I be a host?

A: Yes, we encourage the communities near Burnaby to assist with this. We are still working on accommodation details and if you would like to host, please email us at [email protected].

Q: What meals will be provided?

A: Meals will be provided throughout the conference, including vegetarian and dietary-friendly options. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on the registration form.

Q: Will transportation be provided?

A: Transportation details will be provided closer to the event. If you need assistance, let us know in advance in the registration form.

FAMILY & GUEST POLICIES

Q: Can parents or other family members attend the conference?

A: No, family members are not allowed to attend or participate in the conference sessions. This event is exclusively for youth.

VOLUNTEERING

Q: How can I volunteer at the conference?

A: We need volunteers for different aspects of logistics. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Q: What health and safety measures are in place?

A: A medical assistance team will be available, and safety guidelines will be followed throughout the event.

Q: Is there parking?

A: Yes, BCIT has plenty of parking spots for the participants at a rate of $9.95/day. Public/Student/Visitor parking areas accommodate students and the general public. These Public/Student/Visitor lots are lettered.

Hourly parking areas accommodate any visitor to campus wanting flexible hourly options. These Hourly lots start with the letter V. Pay Stations are marked on the map and accept credit card payment only. There is no cash or combo card option. The conference will be taking place in the SE6 building.

A: Bring a water bottle and if you play music please bring your instrument.
